The renovation concerned a top-floor apartment in a historic center building, along with ground-floor vaulted rooms used for gatherings and events.

The owners, expert collectors of vintage furniture and objects, contributed their taste and choices throughout the entire design process. Warm materials such as oak parquet in various widths and Tuscan travertine used in the bathrooms—both in its natural form and with a geometric pattern on the wall of the bathtub set into the raised floor—were selected. The resulting aesthetic blends an industrial style in the apartment with a more classical one in the ground-floor spaces.

The furnishings, aside from some bespoke elements, include iconic design pieces from the 1950s–60s and anonymous items from the same period, as well as local rustic furniture, all skillfully combined with an elegant eclectic taste.
