san quirico d’orcia (si) – 2010
Inside a hotel in the heart of San Quirico d’Orcia, directly opposite the Collegiate Church and Palazzo Chigi, a swimming pool for guests has been created in the basement rooms overlooking the garden. Natural light filters through the windows, creating evocative views and a relaxing atmosphere.
The pool’s long, narrow shape was defined by the configuration of the existing spaces; hydromassage stations were installed in the wider area near the window.
Local travertine was chosen for the cladding, harmoniously complementing the exposed brick walls, creating a material dialogue consistent with the historical and landscape context. Foligno (PG) – 2024
Swimming pool with a large garden, serving two recently renovated early 20th-century residences.
The pool blends discreetly and elegantly into the existing surroundings, with the solarium clad in travertine, like the other outdoor flooring.
